Symmetry is an awesome tool to show what geometry can become with the simplest of tools.
The reaction i have to J.H.Poincare's quote
is that math is beautiful this picture is fact of that also that him saying that math is studied because he wants to is also showing that you either love math and learn it or hate it and not learn it.
